“ I came to Detroit for a one nighter and was looking for thing different. Got recommended this place and OMG it was delicious. I had a simple meal (chicken shawarma) and curly fries. I thought it was simple until I took that first bite. The chicken was flavored perfectly and juicy too! The fries were crispy and moist. Plus they had Detroit style pop which was good. The ladies behind the register were friendly and took care of me and my team. Definitely coming back! ”

“ I ordered salads at the Livernois location and when I got home, the chicken was burned on the salad. I called and spoke to the Manager, Micah (hope I spelled her name correctly). Although I was pissed and did not want to drive back to the restaurant to replace the food, she convinced me to come back. She personally fixed my replacement order, and even asked if I needed my elder Mother's salad to be cut up for easier consumption. It was my pleasure meeting this young lady, she was professional and very accommodating! ”

“ We stopped here for dinner before a show at the Fisher because I knew it would be quicker than typical sit-down service. I'm so glad we did! The ambiance was fun and friendly. As someone who easily gets anxiety ordering at new places, I felt perfectly at ease here. I love that they offered Detroit sodas but also had Coke products. (I was a big fan of the Detroit root beer and lemonade.) Ordering was easy. Staff were polite when bringing the food to the table. I sat in a booth and wish I had snapped a picture but they're high-top booths and I looooove that they have a bar for your feet/a footrest. Sometimes my body doesn't like my feet dangling for too long but this was perfect and I was comfortable for the entire meal. I ordered "shoestring fries" and they looked completely normal size, not skinny. They were delicious nonetheless! I tried the curly fries and they were also yummy! Shawarma sandwiches were pretty messy. Don't unwrap the whole thing from the foil or else the goods will drop out of the bottom of the pita. I also wish I had snagged a fork before I sat down. Overall, it was awesome and I look forward to stopping by again in the near future. ”

“ So yummy and delivered on time in the rain by Grubhub. Win! If you haven't tried the Nikki salad - try it. It's my favorite. So simple and so tasty - warm cabbage tossed in house dressing with feta and grilled chicken. I could eat this everyday. I also really like their sticks - like longer, neater versions of their shawarma pitas. A little easier to eat and very decently priced; perfect if you're more on the go. They have curly fires and I love that. Their garlic sauce is also milder than others, in a good way. Like, it's not overpowering with raw garlic taste. Pretty fast, pretty friendly, no complaints from me. You can't go wrong with Bucharest. ”

“ I ordered Bucharest Grill for our board meeting, and I was super impressed with the food! I've had the chicken shawarmas before, and they are great, but I really liked the beef one I tried last night. It had a nice char on it, and really great flavor. I'd order both the chicken or the beef again. The hummus and pita were good, not great. The highlight of the meal was the grape leaves, which were the best I ever had. They are packed with meat, and come in a savory tomatoey sauce. Everyone at the meeting seemed to love them as much as I did, so these are a must re-order. ”
